Well this past weekend Vince decided to not work Saturday so we made plans to go down to my mom and Joes Farm in Missouri. We got up early Saturday morning finished loading the car and we were on the road by 8:30. We made it down there by eleven. We stopped a couple of times to let the dogs take care of business and stretch our legs. If I sit to long I have one heck of a time standing on my legs, they are just jello. Anyway, here are some photos from Saturday and Sunday.
Some four wheeler riding with Dad and Papa.
Some swimming in the river. Mostly the boys did that and PaPa. That water was COLD. I tried, Vince tried and my mom tried to get in. It was not happening. Oh my goodness it was freezing.
Caught some fish with the good ole mason jar and saltine crackers.
Us adults mostly sat around and talked.
The kids had a blast getting in the river and swimming and meeting new kids to play with.
After awhile we went back to the house to get supper going and chill the rest of the day.
Isaac was whopped.
He had a five minute power nap and then was up and at em again.
Where does the energy come from?
Wyatt and mom/grandma went to the lake on the farm and fed the fish.
Some more four wheeler riding
Wyatt with his first gun.
Wyatt got to shot his gun for the first time, with supervision of course.
After some breakfast and some more four wheeler riding Sunday morning we had to leave and head home. We like it down there and were sad to leave. I wish it was closer then two hours and we could go more often. It so peaceful and beautiful there.
Once home we got all unpacked and got ready for Vince's dad to come over for supper. All in all it was a good weekend and we hope to go down around Halloween to the farm again with the boys for their yearly trick or treat bash on Caster River.
