This is continued from Isaac's birth story. So it is August 18th here in the evening. We were going to just have Vince's parents bring Wyatt up the next day so they would not have alot of gas out coming up two days. They really wanted to see the baby though and to be honest I hate missing any number of days not seeing my son so we agreed to them bringing Wyatt up. So on August 18th Wyatt got to meet his little brother and boy were we a little nervous on how it would go. But to our surprise it went great!! He would not touch him at first but them in the end he warmed up to the idea. He never threw a fit or anything and has not thrown a fit or acted up since we brought Isaac home. I am thinking three years apart is a good age for siblings. More on that later. So that night we had Pam and Jim come by and another of our friends Kathy. It was a laid back day and evening. Here are some photos.
The proud Grandma Pettijohn. Pam and Jim had got Wyatt a monkey snow globe and Wyatt was showing it to his little brother. Goof ball.
The proud Grandpa Jim, Wyatt, Isaac and me.
Another shot only this time Wyatt is looking somewhat. Wyatt really did not want to leave anyone holding Isaac. He left peoples side occasionally but mostly he wanted in on the action too.
Since Vince and I knew Isaac would be getting gifts Vince and I had picked out a couple of toys ourselves for Wyatt so he would not feel left out. He got Mater and a little car. Not a lot but enough to make him feel part of things.
Here he is playing with his Mater. We wanted him to be excited also to be a big brother and he was. Once he got these he decided to abandon ship for hovering over Isaac and play. All in all it was a smooth experience and Vince and I even got some video of it all. Wyatt touched Isaac a little on the arm and head that day but that has increased since we have had Isaac home, more on that later. Stay tuned for more.
