Meet Springer!!!
He is the newest member of our family and we love him to pieces.
He is a Chihuahua mix and is such a tendered hearted little thing.
Both boys adore him and he is really good with them both. No biting or anything. When he wants to get away he just goes and lays under our bed.
On the left is Springer and the right our other dog Lucy.
Lucy loves him to. We took her to meet Springer at the Humane Society and within minutes they were getting it on. We took that as our cue that he would do fine with her. When we had originally looked at dogs he was not one of our picks. The dogs we picked out though Lucy hated and fought with. The lady at the Humane Society brought Springer out and it was love at first sight. I was shocked. So we decided to go with who Lucy chose.
We adopted Springer from the Randolph County Humane Society a couple of weeks ago. He is so good. He is only nine months old and as long as we get him out every two hours we have no messes in our house. Amazing!!! He plays good with the kids and is very protective of me. Lucy cannot even sit on my lap, only him. Guess it is a male dog thing.
Springer plays fetch and loves to chew on things right now. I stocked up on the bones and chew toys.
Springer's Story
Someone found him wondering around in Red Bud and turned him into Mrs. Church (the vet). The vet in town kept him for a week or so and when no one claimed him so she gave him to the Randolph County Humane Society where he stayed for a month before coming to us. Who had him before and what life he had is a mystery. All I know is he is a very laid back, tender in nature type of dog. He has gotten out the door once and when you bend down and call his name he comes right to you. We are happy to have him.
If anyone wants to adopt a dog I would highly recommend Randolph County Humane Society. They are very nice and attentive to your families needs. They take really good care of the dogs and the place they have to house them. I was really impressed.
